Update 2008.06.11 7:38AM PST
Engadget is reporting that the Eee PC 1000H is now finally available. In Taiwan. The price is right at US$625 (NT$18,988).
Blogeee.net has some pictures up of the Eee PC 1000, which will be officially unveiled tomorrow at Computex. The bigger LCD and bigger keyboard should be welcome by those who are bigger but want to tote around a very small notebook PC.
But… the Eee PC notebook PCs are getting bigger and bigger. And, unfortunately, more expensive. Like I said in previous posts I hope they don’t lose that “small is better” and “cheaper is better” focus. But I think they will lose it. Ultimately, I see a 15.4″ Eee PC that has no distinction from other notebook PC brands.
Update 2008.06.02 10:49PM PST
Engadget has some prices for us:
- Eee PC 901: NT$16,988, ~US$559
- Eee PC 1000(H): NT$18,988, ~US$625
- Eee PC 1000: NT$19,988, ~US$658
These prices are still mighty cheap! I hope it stays that way once it crosses the Pacific!
