HP Pavilion tx2500z 12.1

I like the underdog to win, from time to time. In the case of the CPU market, the underdog is AMD. AMD’s dual core Puma CPU is powering HP’s tx2500z. Not sure that means a whole lot since tablet PCs make up a tiny slice of the overall notebook PC market, but I’m glad to see a big guy like HP continue to work with AMD. The 12.1″ TFT LCD with a pixel format of 1280 x 800 is pretty standard fare. What would have been great is a multitouch screen (like the iPhone) instead and a HP-optimized UI, like its TouchSmart 2. It can’t be that hard to make something like that, right?
