BenQ G2400WT: 24

On August 20, 2008, BenQ introduced its G2400WT monitor. BenQ’s G2400WT is a 24″ LCD monitor that boasts a high dynamic contrast ratio: 4000:1. Although that’s about 4x the typical dynamic contrast ratio for a 24″ LCD monitor, dynamic contrast ratio only becomes relevant when you’re watching motion picture. And in some cases doesn’t do much to enhance the picture quality. If you watch a lot of HD video, I would recommend getting a LCD TV with a proper video engine. The G24000WT, even with its higher dynamic contrast ratio, will be only good for the occasional video watching. Another interesting feature is the presence of three video ports: DVI, VGA and HDMI. Normally you would only get two out of the three with VGA a given. I would highly recommend connecting the G2400WT via the DVI port or HDMI port and bypass the VGA if at all possible.
