NEC has some wonderful LCD monitors in its lineup. The company has added to that with the EA241WM, a 24″ LCD monitor with a pixel format of 1920 x 1200, 1000:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 400 cd/m2. All of these specifications are rather standard in higher-end LCD monitors, but NEC has a way of putting all the parts together to form a very sturdy and excellent finished product. Another feature of higher-end LCD monitors is the ability to pivot. The EA241WM can be pivoted (rotated) and has height adjustments.
The EA241WM sports Samsung‘s PVA LCD panel and that means that it will be an excellent performer. I personally prefer IPS technology but those tend to be more expensive and PVA should do just as well. The US$549 price is a bit on the high side, but if you’re looking for high-quality and high-performance, the NEC EA241WM should be high up on your list.
