The I7110 has a 5MP camera with a CMOS image sensor. CMOS technology is generally found in expensive DSLRs and it is somewhat surprising to see it being used for a smartphone. The 5MP camera sports autofocus capability and has a LED flash. Video format support includes a long list: DivX, H.263, H.264, WMV, MP4, RV. You can also record 640 x 480 video at 30fps or 320 x 240 at 120fps.
The I7110 has an accelerometer embedded so I’m guessing the screen will tilt when in landscape mode. Just a guess. Connectivity include HSDPA (up to 3.6Mbps, 900/2100), EDGE/GPRS (850/900/1800/1900), GPS and WiFi. Another very cool feature is an 8-way optical mouse (the pad in the middle) that makes it much easier to browse the Internet.
Samsung decided to use Symbian OS V9.3 S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2. The Samsung I7110 will be available in Russia from November 2008. Other markets will have to get in line behind Russia.
