During CTIA Wireless, Wistron showcased its PurseBook at Qualcomm‘s booth. The PurseBook (terribly named) looks like a VAIO P in that it is ultrawide. It sports Qualcomm’s Snapdragon CPU and will hit a price point of less than $500. The OS will be a version of Linux from ThunderSoft. You can run the PurseBook for up to 8 hours. According to Qualcomm the PurseBook and other Snapdragon-powered netbooks will be available in 2009. Gotta give it to the folks over at Wistron for alienating a big chunk of the potential market: guys (not all but most).
