T-Mobile’s Sidekick LX was announced Friday, April 17, 2009. The Sidekick LX features 3G and GPS with cool social platform integration: Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. Unlike the iPhone, the Sidekick LX has Flash video support–not full Flash support with animation. The 3.2MP camera has a LED flash and the pictures you take is displayed on a 3.2″ TFT LCD sporting a very generous number of pixels: 854 x 480. That’s a lot more pixels than the iPhone’s 480 x 320.
Direct YouTube Upload The Sidekick LX allows the user to directly upload videos to YouTube in addition to other networking sites. This is a major feature that a lot of Sidekick LX users will appreciate.
The price is $199 with a two-year service agreement with T-Mobile and after a mail-in rebate. The Sidekick LX is available now to existing T-Mobile customers and to everyone else on May 13.
