Acer‘s Aspire One 751 is the company’s largest netbook sporting an 11.6-inch TFT LCD with a 1366 x 768 pixel format. The Aspire One 751 is powered by Intel’s Atom Z520 running at 1.33GHz. Memory can be upgraded to 2GB. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, optional tri-band UMTS/HSPA 3G, three USB ports, a VGA-out, and Ethernet. The touchpad is multitouch-capable letting you for instance you pinch.
The 3-cell battery is good for 4 hours of life. Upgrade to the 6-cell and you double the life of the battery to 8 hours. You also double the fatness but also add 0.2lbs to the weight from 2.8lbs to 3.0lbs. Want the Aspire One 751 in another color besides black? You’re in luck: red, white, and blue are options. And the last time I checked Acer was still Taiwanese.
Prices will be slightly higher than the smaller netbooks at around $500 and will be available some time this month.
