Lots of Pixels Imagine HTC‘s Touch Diamond2 but with a larger screen at 3.6-inch (800 x 480 in landscape), a 3.5mm headphone jack and the ability to run on CDMA and GSM networks. That last feature will allow you to take the Imagio anywhere in the world. The Imagio also has WiFi, GPS, a 5 megapixel camera and V CAST Mobile TV (the first smartphone to have this feature). Imagio will be the first Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone on Verizon Wireless.
Kickstand! Interesting features of HTC’s Imagio is a soft-touch plastic (perforated grille giving you a bit of friction so it doesn’t slide right through your hands) and a kickstand. The 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7600 CPU coupled with a paltry 256MB of RAM won’t be powerful enough to smoothly transition through all the TouchFLO and Windows Mobile 6.5 UI elements.
Wait a Bit The Imagio is US$200 from Verizon Wireless with a $100 mail-in rebate and of course you’ll need a 2-year contract. Of course, if you’re interested in purchasing one of these, I would advise to wait: Verizon will be announcing two Android-based phones very soon.
