RPO announced on November 9, 2009 that on November 3 the company closed a supplemental issuance of its Series C Preferred Stock for US$19.3 million from several existing investors in RPO and from a new strategic investor. RPO expects high-volume manufacturing of its Digital Waveguide Touch (DWT) systems in 2010. DWT is an optical touch technology that allows for the use of almost any object including a pen, finger(s), gloved finger(s) and without causing any deterioration of brightness and contrast in the display. DWT can sense multiple touch points as well as the size and width. RPO is targeting multiple markets with its DWT technology including smartphones, navigation devices, ebooks, netbooks, handheld gaming devices, digital cameras, notebook PCs and desktop monitors.
