Nook Rooted

Barnes & Noble’s Nook, the dual screen ebook reader, has been torn apart. Both OS and filesystem are stored on a microSD card. As you already know the bottom screen is a touch-enabled LCD that runs Android 1.5. A newly-formed hacking crew called nookdevs say the Nook has potential to do “everything a rooted Android phone can do.” Given the Nook has a persistent 3G connection as well as WiFi there is quite a bit of potential for this Nook to do some nifty things in the near future. Source: nookdevs, nookdevs Twitter via RobotSkirts, Engadget
